Migrant farm workers, the engine of farming in the area, make up much of the population of east Salinas. They face unique challenges raising their families, yet are aided by an energetic coalition of civic organizations, non-profits, educators and volunteers determined that no one should go without food in the midst of California’s agricultural wealth.
