On October 4, 2023, a sunny Wednesday morning, high school students from across the city of Waterbury, CT participated in a Fall Health & Wellness Fair held at CT State Naugatuck Valley. The event was organized by the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board (NRWIB) on a professional development day for teachers in Waterbury, so students were free to attend a mindfulness workshop, take a campus tour, and confer with local health providers about resources as well as employment options in their future.
