PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEO: Joining more than a million young people worldwide on Friday, March 15th, 2019, thousands of students walked out of school in New York City protesting government inaction over climate change. Marchers began gathering at over a dozen locations, including City Hall and Columbus Circle in Manhattan, the rally culminating in a march alongside Central Park to the steps of the American Museum of Natural History.

And on Friday, September 20, almost a quarter of a million people joined the Climate Strike in New York City. The afternoon-long protest began in Foley Square, the beginning of a long march along Broadway toward Battery Park.
