Beautiful tile work over an entrance to the Assumption Cathedral in Yaroslavl. Rebuilt in 2010, the church dates from the early 1200's. This important “Golden Ring” Russian city, which recently celebrated its 1000th anniversary, is located at the confluence of the Volga and the Kotorosl Rivers. The historic city center, home to many landmark buildings, has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
