Universidad Popular, founded in 1972 as Latin Center, is a non-profit organization focused on promoting community empowerment through participatory learning. Over the course of 36 years, Universidad Popular has evolved from a peer advocacy group to a non-profit organization that serves over 2,000 people every year. UP's programs currently include Adult and Family Literacy, Computer Literacy, Health Seminars, Yoga & Martial Arts, Legal Clinic, and Financial Literacy.
