Sunday’s 63rd annual Obon Festival at the Buddhist Temple of Salinas showcased Japanese culture in myriad ways, with displays of ikebana and bonsai, a ritual tea ceremony, martial arts, taiko drumming and the joyful dances which honor departed family members.
