Homeless residents of Chinatown whose tents were on the front lot and alley next to 38 Soledad St., a private property, were evicted on Monday morning, October 5th by contractors hired by the city of Salinas. While their living conditions were clearly a public health hazard, no accommodation is apparently being made for their possessions or future place to live.
