Incense fills the air during a unique “xilonen” coming-of-age ritual for Josselyn Melanie Cuauhyolotzin at the Salinas home of her parents. Dancers from throughout the Aztec community in California came together on Saturday, February 9th, 2013, to celebrate her passage from childhood to maidenhood.
