Supporters take a few minutes to rest before joining the entry lines at the 2020 Commitment March in Washington, D.C. held on Friday, August 28th. Tens of thousands of people from all over the country attended, to fight for criminal justice reform in solidarity with those who have lost loved ones at the hands of the police and to push for federal legislation against misconduct. The event, organized by the Reverend Al Sharpton and the National Action Network, coincides with and honors the 57th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s March on Washington, where he delivered his historic “I Have A Dream” speech in 1963.
