Almost a quarter of a million people joined Friday's Climate Strike in New York City on September 20, 2019. The afternoon-long protest began in Foley Square, the head of a long march along Broadway toward Battery Park. Swedish teen activist Greta Thunberg, 16, spoke at the rally along with a number of local organizers and concerned parties from around the world.
