First constructed in 1839, Christ the Savior Cathedral sits on the northern bank of the Moskva River in central Moscow. At over 100 meters tall, it is the tallest Eastern Orthodox Church in the world. It was completely rebuilt in the 1990's. A cosmopolitan city with a nearly 900 year history, Moscow is Russia's financial and administrative capital and home to many of the country's most recognizable architectural gems.
