Founded in 1989 by actress/director Rosario Vargas, Aguijon Theater Company is committed to creating and performing Spanish-language work that "stings" the social consciousness of its audience. Working from its own dedicated space in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood of Chicago's West Side, Aguijon has built an international reputation, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a gala at the National Museum of Mexican Art. Photographs commissioned by HOY newspaper for a feature story.
