USA, Chicago, IL, July 28, 2011. A long-time advocate for affordable health care for low income families, Senator Donne Trotter has been instrumental in including programs such as FamilyCare in a shrinking Illinois budget. The popular touch of state policymakers like Senator Trotter, who has served Chicago's 17th District for more that 20 years, is essential to communicating to the public the impending benefits of President Obama's 2010 Affordable Care Act. In association with Representatives Constance Howard and Marlow Colvin, Senator Trotter reaches out through health fairs and block meetings to educate his constituents about upcoming developments in the law that will help keep families healthy.
